Meet Chloe Hubbard: a girl who is using her gifts and her platform to make a difference in the lives of children in need.
What led you to want to compete in the Miss Music City pageant?
My mom influenced me to compete in pageants, mainly because my older sister did. I continued because they wanted me to, but I truly fell in LOVE with the countless serving opportunities!!
What motivated you to choose to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital?
The Miss America Organization’s national platform is Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The first couple events I went to that benefitted CMN, I didn’t care for it much, but walking into a children’s hospital when you think you’ve had a bad day will completely change your outlook on your life, your plans and whatever situation you are in. Now I have fallen head over heels IN LOVE with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the chances I get to bring a bit of normality back to the kids facing illnesses from minor cases to terminal cancer.
What’s one thing you wish everyone knew about pageants and using your platform to make a difference ?
I truly wish people would see the heart and love behind the crown. I have learned that the title has never been about me, instead this has always been about what I can do for others.
If someone wants to give back and make a difference but isn’t sure where to start, what advice would you give them?
My personal philanthropy is Be The Change, which is a kindness movement I started. For ANYONE that wants to get involved but isn’t sure where to start, I suggest finding an organization that sparks your passion. And if you don’t find one, start your own like I did!! It’s all about allowing your heart to serve!
