2025 Adopt With FTN Campaign

2024 winners, the Franklin family

Every year, we help fund an adoption.

November is national adoption month, and this year we're helping another family bring their adoptive child home!

Using the power of story and crowdfunding, we've fully funded 8 adoptions since 2016 for special families just like yours!

Here's how it works:

Thanks for your interest in our Adopt With FTN Campaign! Over the past eight years, we've successfully funded eight adoptions during our adoption campaign. This year, we're committed to supporting yet another adoption, and it could be yours! Adopt with FTN is a story-telling campaign with two purposes: to help fund adoptions and to help increase awareness during National Adoption Month.

The campaign is built on two stages: The Awareness Round, and The Fundraising Round.

The first stage of our campaign is the Awareness Round. Each family invites their community to rally around them by casting a free vote. This round is all about sharing your story, raising awareness, and surrounding your adoption journey with encouragement. The ten families with the strongest show of support move forward to the next round.

In the Fundraising Round, each top-ten family will create a short video sharing their adoption story. These stories will be spread through a massive social media and word-of-mouth campaign, rallying friends, family, and communities far and wide. Supporters ‘vote’ by purchasing a limited-edition We Are Family t-shirt or sweatshirt. Every shirt sold both spreads awareness and directly funds adoption expenses. At the close of this round, the family with the most community support will receive full funding for their adoption, with any remaining funds being spread to the other nine families.

FAQs

Who can apply?
All families who are in the process of an adoption, have a current home study, and are working through an accredited adoption agency.  The adoption can be domestic or international but should be in progress (please don’t apply if your child is already home).

Because Fund the Nations is a Christian organization, everything we do flows out of our faith. We want to be upfront that this means we can only move forward with families whose beliefs and lifestyles reflect a commitment to historic, biblical Christianity. Our heart is to walk alongside families who share this foundation as we celebrate and support your adoption journey.

How is the money raised?
In short, this is a massive T-shirt fundraiser. On November 5th, we will open an online store where people can purchase this shirt. But with every purchase they will cast a "vote" for one of the families in the top 10. So, by spreading the word to your friends, families and followers, you have an opportunity to gain supporting votes for your family. At the end of the contest, the family with the most votes (shirts purchased) wins.

What is required to participate?
A few things...

1. A current home study with an accredited agency.

2. A willingness to use social media and any possible means to share your story and spread the word about the campaign.
The success and funding of the winning family's adoption is contingent on the awareness you bring to the campaign.

What is required of the families who make the top ten?
A few more things...

1. A willingness to continue to use social media and any possible means to share your story and spread the word about the campaign, .
The Fundraising Round (top ten) is the most crucial stage. The success and funding of the winning family's adoption is contingent on the number of shirts we can sell together. The funds raised through these t-shirts are what give us the ability to fund the winning family's adoption.

2. Attend a mandatory Zoom call on October 28th, 6:30pm CST. This is required. If you are unable to attend, your spot will be passed on to the next family.

3. Share your story in video form.
All top ten families will be asked to submit a 3-5 minute video sharing their adoption story. It doesn’t have to be professionally made, but keep in mind that this is all many people will have to get a feel for your hearts and personalities, so the more your video ‘feels’ like your family, the better. Some things to include in your video: your names, why you felt led to adopt, and a little about your adoption (Domestically or internationally? Have you been matched yet? Boy or girl? Age of your child? How long have you been waiting? Any special needs? Etc.). Watch this video from a previous winning family, the Franklins!

How does The Fundraising Round work?
Once the top ten families are announced, we will begin selling our 2025 Adopt With FTN campaign shirt on our website. Supporters will have the opportunity to watch all top ten videos and purchase a shirt in support of the  family of their choosing. Each shirt sold equals one vote for that family. Our hope is to fully fund the family who receives the most votes and to provide the other nine families with some financial assistance to help with their adoption expenses! Please keep in mind that our ability to give financially is fully dependent upon how many shirts are sold as a part of the campaign, so sharing is key!  We will share some ideas of how to best do this on the ZOOM call.

Can I recruit sponsors?
Absolutely! We love when families partner with sponsors to expand their support. We recommend having sponsors purchase t-shirts directly through our store so their votes are counted toward your total. Once they receive the shirts, sponsors are free to use them however they choose. Many donate them to local youth organizations, foster homes, or community centers — turning their support into a blessing for even more people.
